Coronavirus Update (Thursday 19th March 2020)

Dear Students/Parents,

Yesterday Government announced that it would be closing schools at the end of this week. As mentioned in our previous update, we consider ourselves a place of education, and have been basing our decision to remain open on the status of schools in the U.K.

With this in mind we must take the decision that from Monday 23rd March we will be switching over to virtual training until further notice. It’s important to note class is not stopping! We just have to adjust to the new format of training from the home.

Teaching this past week was a real mixed bag of emotions. I struggled between the Black Belt in me who says “find a way, not an excuse” and the part of me that says we should be doing our part to stop this virus spreading any further.

I have been training for over 20 years now, and teaching for over 10 of those. Some of our students have been with me from Reception and are now young adults. Regardless of how long you have been with us, I consider you all like extended family and it pains me to have to take this time away from physical classes.

I want to continue to provide our members with high value content, and have been working hard on updating our website to host videos, worksheets and more over the coming weeks/months if needed. I know it’s a lot to ask for members to continue to pay for a service they are not receiving. We are not a charity, we are a business.

For those of you that do continue to pay your fee’s, I will do my best to provide as much online content as possible. As well as Skype based 1 on 1’s and live streamed classes. The Coronavirus is effecting us all, and if you cannot continue to pay, I completely understand and hope that you can return to us when this is all passed us.

I hold high hopes that this will all be over sooner rather than later, and we will return to normality in the not too distant future. This is not goodbye, this is see you later. This is not the end, just a different chapter.

Further information on how to access our private online platforms will follow this message. Should you have any enquires, or need any further information, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Please stay safe as we enter this unprecedented time and focus on your family and loved ones.

“Don’t waste life in doubts and fears; spend yourself on the work before you, well assured that the right performance of this hour’s duties will be the best preparation for the hours and ages that will follow it” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
