Warrior Club Update - October 2015
Hey Everyone,
My apologies for the lack of updates to everyone recently! It’s been a crazy busy first month back after the summer holidays. Singing up 18 new students as well as returning to competing on an international level has put me a little behind! Anyway, enough of the excuses! Here is what we have coming up!
Nerf War
The Nerf War is a great event for all the family where we put away with the discipline and focus for an afternoon and replace it with some healthy expression and foam dart violence! The Nerf war will take place at The Assembly Halls in West Wickham on Saturday 10th October from 12.30 till 14.00.
Students are required to bring their own Nerf Gun, Bullets and Eye Protection (which is compulsory) The event will be split into games and supervised by Myself and Linda…I would say Alan also…but lets face it, he's the biggest kid there is.
You are required to pre book for this and pay £10 per person. Family and friends are all welcome along to this and we invite you to dress up as your favourite superhero!
Practice Grading
As mentioned below we have our Winter Club Gradings coming up! I’ve pushed these back to November in order to give students plenty of time to get up to standard. Part of this includes a practice session that is focused purely on running all line work and building students confidence with the grading situation.
I’ve decided to split this into two groups to allow Juniors and Adults to get more from the session. Kids (below the age of 9) will be from 10am-11am. Juniors and Adults 11am-12pm. This will take place on Saturday 7th November 2015 at The Bromley Common Baptist Church Hall.
Colour Belt Grading
Coloured Belt Gradings will take place on Friday 13th November 2015 at the Bromley Common Baptist Church Hall.
Kids - 5.30pm till 7.00pm
Juniors - 7.00pm till 8.00pm
Adults - 8.00pm till 9.00pm
All students are required to book in advance and pre pay for their gradings.
Pre Grade - £10
Colour Belts - £20
Grading to Brown - £30
A note to all students holding a Brown Belt or above. You are unable to grade at this event and will be required to attend an advanced course in order to take your gradings. See Winter Course below.
Winter Course
Our annual Winter Course is an opportunity for Advanced Students to take their gradings as well as all students to get a great 2 day training session in. All gradings take place on Sunday 6th December. Saturday 5th December is full of great training and fun. More information coming soon! Some of our students will be taking both Junior and Adult Black Belt gradings at this event so I would like as many of you as possible to attend and support.
Wolf Pack Squad Trainings
If you or your child are interested in the competitive side of our sport we have an amazing international kickboxing team that is designed to breed and develop Champions! Our squad trainings are now open to all students from Warrior Martial Arts and are a great opportunity to work on your sparring techniques and strategies. Below are the last two dates of the year, both taking place at the SKF Crawley Dojo
Sunday 8th November 2015 (Time to be Set)
Saturday 5th December 2015 (Part of the Winter Course)
Dorking and Windsor Superleague
Our last two competitions of the year that would be suitable for beginner students are the Super Leagues.
